Gujarat Tour Package from Delhi: Heritage, Salt & Spice

Aug 28, 2025By Priya Sharma

Gujarat — ek aisi rajya jo India ke diversity ka perfect snapshot hai. The white salt desert of the Rann of Kutch under a full moon, the last Asiatic lions of Gir Forest, the ancient temples of Dwarka and Somnath, the UNESCO-listed heritage streets of Ahmedabad, and the world's largest natural gas spring at Unai — Gujarat is deeper and more fascinating than most travellers expect. Manmauji Trip ke saath Delhi se Gujarat ki yeh incredible journey shuru hoti hai.

Top Destinations in Gujarat

Rann of Kutch

The Grand Rann — the world's largest salt desert. By night, especially on full moon nights, the salt flats reflect the moonlight creating an ethereal silver landscape that feels from another world. The Rann Utsav (festival, November–February) brings craft villages, folk music, and camel rides to this otherwise desolate wonderland. Kutch's famous handicrafts (Bandhani tie-dye, Ajrakh block prints, Rogan art, Bhujodi weaving) are themselves worth the journey.

Gir National Park — Asiatic Lion Safari

The only place in the world where you can see Asiatic Lions in the wild — Gir Forest National Park in Saurashtra. There are approximately 670 Asiatic lions today (a conservation success story — from just 20 in 1900!). Open October–June; closed July–September. Manmauji Trip books safari jeep permits (limited and highly sought after) well in advance.

Dwarka and Somnath

Two of Hinduism's most important pilgrimage sites — Dwarkadhish Temple (one of the Char Dham) at the westernmost tip of Gujarat, and Somnath Temple, the first Jyotirlinga, rebuilt in its present magnificent form in 1951. The sea view from Somnath's platform — where the ocean stretches to the Antarctic without another landmass in between — is profoundly moving.

Ahmedabad — UNESCO World Heritage City

India's first UNESCO World Heritage City (2017) — Ahmedabad's old walled city (pols, stepwells, ancient mosques and temples in Hindu–Islamic blend architecture) is a living museum. Swaminarayan Akshardham, Sabarmati Ashram (Mahatma Gandhi's home), and the fascinating Calico Museum of Textiles are must-visits. And the food — Gujarati thali in Ahmedabad is among India's best meals.

Statue of Unity — Vadodara

The world's tallest statue at 182 metres — dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The engineering feat is astounding; the experience of standing at the viewing gallery is genuinely moving. A must-visit stop on any Gujarat itinerary.

"Rann of Kutch on a full moon night — there are no words. The salt flats reflecting the moon made it look like we were standing on clouds. Manmauji Trip's Gujarat itinerary was the most surprising and rewarding trip of my life." — Alok, Delhi
