Amarnath Yatra Package from Delhi: Divine Himalayan Pilgrimage
Jul 15, 2025By Rohan Mehta

Bam Bam Bholenath! Amarnath Yatra — naam sunke hi ek alag si shraddha aur josh ek saath aata hai. Yeh sirf ek trek nahi — yeh India ke sabse challenging aur sabse spiritually charged pilgrimages mein se ek hai. 3,888 metres ki unchaai par Kashmir ke kailash ke beech, ek paak gufa mein, hazar-haazar saalon se ek praakritik Shivling banta hai barfani shivaling ke roop mein — swayambhu, alaukik, aur divya. Manmauji Trip ke saath Amarnath Yatra ko plan karo — safely, comfortably, aur with full spiritual preparation.
About the Amarnath Cave and the Shivling
The Amarnath Cave (also called Amarnath Ji or Baba Barfani) is situated at 3,888 m in the Himalayan region of Jammu and Kashmir. Inside the cave, a naturally formed ice stalagmite — the sacred Shivling — forms every year during the Yatra season (June/July to August) as glacial water drips and freezes in the shape of a Shivalinga. The Shivling waxes and wanes with the lunar cycle. It is believed that Lord Shiva narrated the secret of immortality (Amar Katha) to Goddess Parvati at this very cave — and two pigeons (believed to be immortal after overhearing the story) are sometimes spotted inside. Amar Katha ke baad hi is gufa ka naam Amarnath pada.
Two Routes to Amarnath
Pahalgam Route (Traditional Route)
The longer, more traditional 46–48 km route via Pahalgam in South Kashmir. This 3–4 day trek passes through Chandanwari (day camp), Sheshnag Lake (the serpent lake at 3,590 m — stunning), Panjtarni, and finally the cave. The route is gentler in gradient and considered easier for first-timers and senior pilgrims. Ponies and palki (palanquin) services are available throughout. Most popular with families and devoted pilgrims who want the full yatra experience.
Baltal Route (Short Route)
The shorter, steeper 14–15 km route from Baltal (Sonamarg side). This route can be done in a single (very long) day — though most people take 2 days. Very steep in sections — requires reasonable fitness. Popular with those with limited time. Helicopter service from Baltal or Panjtarni to the cave is available for those who cannot trek.
Amarnath Yatra Helicopter Service
For elderly pilgrims, those with health conditions, or those with very limited time — helicopter service to Amarnath is a blessing. Helicopters operate from Baltal and Pahalgam side base camps to Panjtarni (3 km walk from cave). Manmauji Trip books helicopter tickets on priority — these fill up months in advance during peak Yatra season. Book early!
